Q? How much does ALPHA cost?
ALPHA answer:
All ALPHA is free of charge for all activities Monday-Thursday (1st - 8th grade). Friday mornings are also a part of ALPHA.   Friday after school care can be provided for Elementary students at a minimal cost.

Q?How do I enroll my child?

ALPHA answer:  Fill out and return an ALPHA enrollment form and return it to the school. Additional questions can be directed to Paula Harrold or Sue Spahn at 918-267-1301.  Remember, if your child is not ENROLLED in ALPHA, they will not be allowed to stay for the ALPHA program.  They can however go to the school daycare program for a cost of $10.00 per day.

Q? How will I know if my child has been accepted into the ALPHA program?
ALPHA answer: Because of the large number of students participating in our program, we do not send home a confirmation of enrollment. If you have questions regarding your child's enrollment, you may call the ALPHA office at 918-267-1301 or email dsix@beggs.k12.ok.us

Q? My child is enrolled but I may need to pick them up early can I do that?

ALPHA answer:   Yes, but we would love to have them stay all afternoon with us!  We are trying to prevent any disruptions to the classes/programs.   Children that are picked up early must be signed out through the Elementary office. Please remember, no parents are allowed in the building after 5:00 p.m. to make our dismissal procedure run smoothly.

Q? Where do I pick my child up after the program?

ALPHA answer:  All students (ES, MS) will be in the Elementary for parent pick up.   We have a convenient drive through line, to comply with our safety policy, smaller children are walked to their parent's cars by HS staff members.

Q? My child needs homework help/tutoring in the morning – where can they be dropped off and do they have to be there on time and every day?

ALPHA answer:  Elementary and Middle School facilities are opened at 7:00 a.m.,   Students can be dropped off after 7:00 a.m..  No, they do not have to attend every day, but they do need to be enrolled and on our roster to attend.

Q? What if there is an emergency – what number will I need to call to pick my child up early?

ALPHA answer:  The office at the Elementary will be staffed during program hours.  The main contact number will be 918-267-3631.

Q? What time will the bus be at the drop off point?

ALPHA answer:  The buses will leave between 5:20 and 5:30 pm from the school.  At this time we can only answer some time between 5:30 and 6:00 pm.  After a few days we will have a better idea of the bus stop time.

Q? Can parents and community members volunteer?

ALPHA answer: ABSOLUTELY!! We are always happy to have parents share with students.  If you have a special skill or talent and have time to participate in our program, please call the ALPHA office to let us know!
